A solar fluorescent light does not need to draw power from the electrical grid in order to function. This means it can provide for all your lighting needs without wasting any energy. Most solar lights utilize light-emitting diodes (LEDs) for illumination, but there are situations when people do prefer fluorescent options.

A solar LED light is preferred over a solar fluorescent light for several reasons. LEDs are generally more reliable and longer lasting. Also, they require a lower amount of power for operation.

The fact that a solar fluorescent light is cheaper than an LED may be encouragement enough for some people to buy them. However, they do have more to offer. Fluorescent lighting can provide a more diffused effect than an LED’s focus beam. This may allow for more graduated shading if that is more aesthetically preferred.
