A solar copper water fountain can develop a beautiful patina if left to itself for many years. Of course, the climate of where you live can determine how quickly that patina is developed. If you live along a sea cost, a natural patina can form within 7 years. In rural environments, it can take at least 10 years for it to form. And, of course, you can expect the patina to develop more rapidly on surfaces that are in direct contact with the fountain water than those that are not. The slope of the surfaces can also make a difference (horizontal develop it faster than vertical ones).
