Solar car fan

A solar car fan is a great solution to a sweltering hot car. Unless there's shade or covered parking, a car is going to get hot during the summer. In the summer sun, it is like an oven. Getting into it feels a lot like getting cooked.

The solar car fan sucks the hot air out of the car, making it much more bearable. Also, because the vehicle is cooler from the onset, there is no need to use as much gas to power the car's air conditioner.

"Installing" the fan is easy. For most versions, you need only to roll down your window, place the fan on top, then roll the window back up.

For the solar car fan to work properly, the solar cells must be facing the sun. They do not work as well if used with a tinted window. For back-up, you may consider a fan that also plugs into the cigarette lighter.
