Magnetek Outdoor Wind Inverter, 3600W Founded in 1984 and headquartered in Menomonee Falls, Wis., Magnetek, Inc., is a New York Stock Exchange listed company (NYSE: MAG) with approximately 375 employees, specializing in the development, manufacture and marketing of digital power and motion control systems for alternative energy, material handling and people-moving. Magnetek markets the Aurora® residential PV inverter (3 6kW), a high efficiency inverter with an extremely wide Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) input voltage range. These inverters permit two totally separate MPPT inputs, and the 5kW and 6kW models produce 96.5% CEC rated efficiency. Magnetek is the exclusive North American distributor of the Aurora PVI-CENTRAL commercial inverter series, ranging from 50kW to 300kW. Scalable in 50kW increments, these uniquely designed inverters in Master-Master configuration offer multiple MPPT tracking inputs in 50kW blocks; in Master-Slave configuration they offer performance redundancy; and the modular design means reduced installation and maintenance costs. The company also produces a medium-voltage inverter for behind-the-fence wind and solar applications in 500kW to 2.5MW configurations. With efficiency greater than 97%, Insulated Gate Bi-polar Transistors (IGBTs), and a patent pending airflow technology, these inverters provide high-quality solutions for utility-grade power applications.
